About the Cell
The Entrepreneurship Cell of Lala Rural College works to develop entrepreneurial mindset, innovation ability, vocational skills and self-employment orientation among students. The Cell conducts awareness programmes, startup activities, exposure visits, vocational training, life skill development programmes and workshops in collaboration with different departments, organisations and agencies.

Vocational Training and Life Skill Development Activities
The Cell organised COVID-19 awareness activities, a 15-day computer training course, cutting and tailoring training, IBM SkillsBuild orientation workshop, and awareness on cooperative societies and employment generation.

The Institution’s Innovation Council organised an exposure visit to Sahmahmod Nursery Plant, Hailakandi. Forty-one students participated and learned about nursery management, grafting, potting, plant care, floriculture, medicinal plants and plant-based entrepreneurship.

A student-led green startup initiative where organic waste from the campus is converted into vermi-compost. The initiative promotes waste management, organic fertilizer production, sustainability and self-employment.
Grow through Growing Plants
Through the exposure visit to Sahmahmod Nursery Plant, students learned about floriculture, fruit saplings, medicinal plants, ornamental plants, grafting, potting and nursery-based enterprise opportunities.
Skill and Employability Training
The Cell has conducted computer training, cutting and tailoring, tourism and hospitality orientation, cooperative society awareness, IBM SkillsBuild orientation and other vocational activities.
