Greetings & welcome to Lala Rural College, Lala. Established in 1964 with the philosophy ‘विद्याऽमृतमश्नुते’; this institute of Higher Education has come a long way from its fledgling start. Treasuring the efforts and vision of its founders and the selfless support of the commune of Lala, today Lala Rural College has established itself as an HEI of repute in the field of Arts & Commerce for Higher Secondary and Under Graduate courses.
Affiliated to Assam University, Silchar, the Institute is constantly striving to keep pace with the changing dynamics and demands of Higher Education.
A short walk alone is difficult, but the long journey for the Institute feels like a few steps; given the support, dedication, toil and care from all its staff – past & present! Equally important is the extended family of Guardians and well wishers who have ever been by the institute – through thick & thin.
