Admission Process & Guidelines 2026-27 | Lala Rural College
Admission to Higher Secondary courses starts after the announcement of the H.S.L.C. examination result and admission to FYUGP courses starts after the announcement of the H.S. examination result. Admission is conducted as per the guidelines of AHSEC, ASSEB, Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal, Assam University, Silchar and Government of Assam notifications.

The merit list will be prepared strictly on academic merit and reservation rules.

Selected candidates must complete admission by paying the prescribed fees.

🎓 H.S. Admission

Students seeking admission to H.S. First Year Arts and Commerce must apply through the DARPAN Admission Portal.

📘 Degree / FYUGP Admission

Students seeking admission to FYUGP 1st Semester must register through the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal, SAMARTH.

📧 Email & Mobile

Applicants must use their own active email address and mobile number during registration.

✅ Admission Offer

Applicants will receive admission offer messages through registered email and mobile number.

Students willing to enrol for FYUG programme must apply online in SAMARTH Portal.

📄 Correct Information

Name and other details must be the same as mentioned in the Class X Board Marksheet.

Important Notes:
• Government approved uniform fee structure is followed.
• Students belonging to families having annual income less than ₹4 lakhs are eligible for free admission subject to fulfilment of required conditions.
• Council Fee is applicable only for H.S. First Year students.
• Students of H.S. First Year passed from Education Boards other than SEBA have to pay an additional fee of ₹300.
• Fee structure is subject to amendment in line with Government instructions.

Guidelines for FYUG Programme as per NEP 2020

🎓 Four-Year UG Programme

UG curriculum framework shall be a Four-Year UG programme as per curriculum structure provided.

📌 Multiple Exit Options

Students may exit after 1st, 2nd or 3rd year with certificate, diploma or degree as per credit completion.

📚 Credit Requirement

For FYUG Programme, total credit requirement across eight semesters is 160 credits.

🔬 Research Option

Students securing required CGPA may opt for Honours with Research in the fourth year.
