About Department
The Department of Political Science started its journey in 1966.
Since its establishment, the department has played an important role in
developing political awareness, civic sense and responsible citizenship
among students.
The department has grown as one of the largest departments of the college in terms of student strength. It offers DSC, DSM and SEC courses under the FYUG programme according to NEP 2020.
Besides classroom teaching, the department promotes democratic values, social responsibility and active participation of students in various social and political forums.
