About Department
The Department of Economics started its journey with the establishment
of Lala Rural College in 1964. Economics has been one of the core
subjects of the College since its inception.
The department has offered Pass and Honours courses under the FYUG Programme for undergraduate students and continues to provide students with opportunities to develop a sound understanding of economics and its application to society.
The main objective of the department is to extend quality education to the maximum number of students and help them develop a strong understanding of the subject along with moral values. The department encourages students to achieve their goals, participate in social welfare activities and become responsible citizens of society.
